Electronic textbooks (e-textbooks) are freely available for a small number of courses through the SOWELA Library. There are two types e-textbooks available to read online: Curriculum Driven Acquisition and Open Educational Resources.
Open Educational Resource (OER) e-textbooks are free to read online and you do not need to log in to access them.
Curriculum Driven Acquisition (CDA) e-textbooks were acquired by the SOWELA Library through Affordable Learning LOUISiana - a project of LOUIS: The Louisiana Library Network. You will need to log into the database with your L-number and pin (the six digits of your birthday - MMDDYY) to access CDA e-textbooks. Some books limit the number pages you can download at one time, but you can download more pages later.
