Please note the following rules for using and reserving a study room in the SOWELA Library (Lake Charles only):
- You must check-in at the library's Help Desk before using a study room with your SOWELA ID - even if you have a reservation.
- You can reserve a study room up to 1 business day in advance if a time slot is available. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you forfeit your reservation of the study room.
- There is a 2-hour time limit for each use or reservation. If there is not a pre-existing reservation, the room can be renewed for an additional two hours or until the next scheduled reservation (whichever occurs first).
- You may only have one reservation at a time per day. You may not make additional reservations for the same day while you are using a study room.
- Study room use and reservations apply to all members of a study group. Individuals within a study group may not each place back-to-back or successive reservations to extend the study room reservation beyond the initial 2-hour time limit. Study room use can only be extended if time slots are available as described above.
- The conference room is only available for students if they need to use a dry erase board or for study groups of at least 6 people.
- No food or drinks without a lid are allowed in the study rooms.
- Anyone refusing to abide by or attempting to circumvent these rules will forfeit their use or reservation of the study rooms for the day.
- The SOWELA Library is not responsible for any items left or lost in the study rooms or library.
