Research Guides

The SOWELA Library can also create Research Guides to direct your students to the most relevant library resources. These guides can save your students time and frustration in their search for the best library resources, and provide them with effective research tips along the way.

Emedding Guides and Chat in Canvas

The LibGuides LTI tool is no longer available to embed research guides in Canvas.  Use the Canvas tool to embed research guides into your Canvas courses using the URL from the research guide.  The video below demonstrates this process.

If you previously embedded research guides into your Canvas course using the LTI tool, the SOWELA Library recommends deleting them, and then adding them using the Canvas embed tool.  Research guides that have been embedded using the LTI tool may stop working in February 2023.
